Sky Blue Diamond Medallions Pysanka — a real Ukrainian goose egg, hand-painted in the traditional wax-batik technique. A vertical chain of nested diamond medallions runs from top to bottom. The largest, central medallion holds layer within layer — an outer golden-and-black lattice diamond, a smaller diamond filled with red accents and pale sky-blue highlights, and at its heart a tiny red-and-gold crosshatched square. Smaller medallions above and below repeat the same nested pattern in miniature, with red diamonds and blue drop-shaped accents. On either side, golden wheat-like sprigs fan out across the dark background, crossed by fine red rays.
The pale sky-blue accent is an uncommon touch in pysanka art, giving this egg a cooler, more refined palette while keeping the traditional nested-diamond structure intact.
As each egg is painted entirely by hand, the exact placement of every line may vary slightly from the photos — this is part of what makes every pysanka one of a kind.
