Purple & Floral Diamond Pysanka — a real Ukrainian goose egg, hand-painted in the traditional wax-batik technique. Radiating gold and red "ladder" stripes run from the crown over a deep purple ground, opening into a sharp white zigzag border and a dense diamond-lattice band with small gold and red flower-rosette accents throughout.

Purple is an uncommon background color in pysanka art, giving this design a striking, jewel-toned look that stands apart from the more typical red and black grounds.
