This Ukrainian Panther smoking pipe is hand-carved and hand-polished from solid sweet cherry root. The bent bowl features a deep relief carving of an animal figure in profile, set against a dark textured background that gives the scene depth against the pale, undyed wood. On the reverse side of the bowl, a flowing acanthus-style leaf and scroll motif is carved into the same pale wood. The shank carries a hand-carved faceted texture, finished with a brass-colored ring where it meets the smooth black ebonite stem, which detaches fully for easy cleaning.

Every pipe carries its own grain pattern and carving character, so no two are exactly alike. New and unused, it makes a striking gift for a pipe collector or anyone drawn to carved folk art.
