Rozha & Sun Triangle Band Pysanka — a real Ukrainian goose egg, hand-painted in the traditional wax-batik technique. A dark wine-red crown is decorated in white spiral scrollwork at the top. Below it, two bands of golden-and-black triangles filled with fine radiating lines wrap around the egg, framing a central white band where red rozha-style rosettes with white dotted accents bloom alongside green leaves.
The triangular sun bands are one of the oldest pysanka motifs, their radiating lines representing the rays of the sun, while the rozha rosette carries the same traditional solar meaning in a different form.
As each egg is painted entirely by hand, the exact placement of every line may vary slightly from the photos — this is part of what makes every pysanka one of a kind.
