Poppy Daisy Leaf Medallion Pysanka — a real Ukrainian goose egg, hand-painted in the traditional wax-batik technique. A leaf-shaped central medallion, bordered in red with a fine white notched trim, runs from top to bottom of the egg. Inside, red poppies with dark crosshatched centers bloom alongside white daisies, golden wheat sprigs, and green leaves on a dark wine-red background. On the reverse side, the same leaf-shaped medallion frames a geometric design of golden zigzags, spiral scrolls, and a diamond lattice with white star-crosses, leading into a dense band of diamonds and squares set with small star rosettes.
Poppies stand for remembrance and family memory, while daisies add a note of innocence and simple beauty — framed together on one side, with a more structured geometric design balancing the other.
As each egg is painted entirely by hand, the exact placement of every line may vary slightly from the photos — this is part of what makes every pysanka one of a kind.
