Green & Gold Star Pysanka — a real Ukrainian goose egg, hand-painted in the traditional wax-batik technique. Sharp green leaf-like rays meet at the crown over a black, star-dotted ground, while the rest of the egg is covered in a dense green, gold, and white diamond-and-star lattice pattern.

In Ukrainian folk tradition, a black background is often chosen specifically to make the other colors stand out with greater depth, while green carries long-standing associations with spring and renewal. The layered geometric pattern on this egg reflects a high level of hand-painting skill, with each line and star drawn individually before dyeing.
