This is a set of two Ukrainian wooden smoking pipes, hand-turned and polished, styled after the traditional "lyulyka" pipes once smoked by Ukrainian Zaporozhian Cossacks. Both pipes feature smooth, uncarved bowls in a light, natural wood tone, each with a gently bent light-colored mouthpiece joined to the shank by a thin brass-colored ring. They're simple, classic in shape, and well suited as a decorative pair on a shelf or wall, as well as for actual smoking use. The two pipes differ in size — the larger of the pair measures 16.5 cm (6 1/2"), with the second pipe slightly smaller — each with its own individual character.

The lyulyka style has deep roots in Ukrainian Cossack history. New and unused, this set makes a meaningful gift for a collector or anyone drawn to Ukrainian folk history.
